House of Wong

The restaurant was started by Warren Wong in 1944 and was named the Cornwallis Cafe. In the Spring of 1974, the Cornwallis Cafe restaurant was transformed into the House of Wong with major reconstruction of the building structure taking 5 months to complete. In August of 1974, the House of Wong opened for business.

On Saturday, March 19^th, 2011, after 67 years in operation, the House of Wong restaurant changed ownership away from the Warren Wong legacy.

We would like to thank all those who have been patrons of the restaurant for your support over the years. We also want to thank the entire staff at the House of Wong for their dedicated service and loyalty throughout the history of the House of Wong. All good things must come to pass.
