Grammy Awards 2012
I am a fan of music, whether classical or contemporary, and have always enjoyed watching the Grammy Awards. Last night's awards show was much anticipated for me because I was looking forward to Adele's appearance and performance at the awards show. It was Adele's first public singing performance since her throat surgery in Nov/2011 to remove a benign polyp in her vocal cord.
There was a mix of the old and the new (some of whom I do not know) with excellent performances but the best for me was Adele's Rolling in the Deep performance . Adele won 6 Grammy awards. A great voice combined with excellent musical compositions will achieve that.
I am an Adele fan and I have a collection of Adele YouTube videos.
I thought the tribute to Whitney Houston's passing was balanced without taking away from the passing mentions of other people or the awards celebration. There are many Whitney Houston songs that have a permanent place in my memory. Some of her songs have marked memorable points in my life.
