The Semantic Web
Web 1.0 marks the beginning of the web as introduced around 1993. Then came the chaos associated with the bursting of the dot-com bubble in 2001. Since around 2004, the new term Web 2.0 came into existence to mark the advent of a new generation of social media networks, enhanced interpersonal communications and user-generated content - that which enables people to share and collaborate. Web 3.0, the Semantic Web, is now being discussed to enable the data and applications that exist on the web to interact with each other.
There are many resources on the Internet but here are YouTube videos that I find useful to provide a basic description of Web 3.0 and the Semantic Web.
