2008 Desktop Computer

I selected and assembled parts to build my 2008 desktop computer running Windows XP. Prices are in CAD. Click the parts image for an enlarged view.

Seasonic power supplies are known for their high quality and low noise.

Asus manufactures reliable and high quality motherboards.

The Intel E4500 CPU was purchased when it was manufacture discontinued (MD), therefore allowing me to get a good retail price. Computer shops wanted to clear the MD inventory.

Western Digital hard drives have been my choice due to their high reliability and quiet operation.

The Nvidia video card is a low-end graphics card sufficient for non-gaming use.

The Samsung monitor has performed well and is still in use at the time of writing in December/2013.
