The people have spoken. Brexit yes vote. Gold and gold stocks are up. Bank stocks are down, along with the stock markets worldwide. Why didn't someone tell me this was going to happen - I would have sold my bank stock holding yesterday. In fact, paid analysts were predicting a no vote, based on polling and other such nonsense.
Here comes Dexit, Fexit, Gexit, Nexit, Sexit, etc. In the early 21st century, the EU (European Union) ceased to exist. Unions and marriages are great until they are not.
Why are politicians paid to hold office to represent the people and debate yes/no while collecting income and accruing their pension plans, thanks to tax dollars from the people? It should be the people who vote on issues - politicians are not needed.
Direct democracy works far better than representative democracy. In the late 21st century, humans began their migration to Mars where the form of government is a direct democracy, not representative.
